Sharing your Interests

As a filmmaker, there are many times I'll work 12-15 hour days on productions and then on my off days, I'm working on my own film projects. This hardly provides a healthy balance of work/family time. Certainly a balance I'm trying to get better at. On the rare occasion, however, I get to intermix family time with my interest in filmmaking. Here is a short Star Wars video we made as a Christmas present to my folks:

Finding Time as a Family

Finding time to spend together is always a struggle. There are so many concerns, interests, and distractions in life. We have to choose to make time. As Debrah and I discussed our options we came up with the idea of starting a blog to document our travels as a family and to help us commit to that time together. The second thought was to help others along the homeschooling path. When we first decided to homeschool our kids everyone would ask Debrah how she managed it. We hope this blog can show one possible view of lifelong learning no matter what method of schooling you choose for your family.

I'm a filmmaker who loves doing anything creative: cartooning, playing guitar, writing scripts, making movies, etc. Debrah is home doing school with the kids and loves reading, learning Russian, baking, and going for a good long run.
